News update from the New Zealand Disc Golf board

Haere mai, everyone! The board has been busy over the mid-summer period and is now seeking input from motivated members interested in joining our Working Groups, which are detailed here (you will need to scroll down the page): https://www.newzealanddiscgolf.org.nz/nzdg

New Tournament Directors group

We have created a new group for NZDG Tournament Directors and the initial meeting was held recently. If you are a TD wanting to be involved with this group, please get in touch with the NZDG Tour Director tour@nzdg.org.nz

Member photo competition – three $50 prizes available

NZDG members are invited to send original photographs for use in our promotional materials, and we have three $50 prizes available for the best pictures of disc golf in New Zealand. You may submit a maximum of two images, with the cut-off date being 15th March 2021. Please submit at a minimum resolution of 1200 pixels (larger side) and ideally at least 3508 pixels (larger side). Images may be portrait or landscape.

Please make your name the first part of the image file name and send your images to comms@nzdg.org.nz. Winners will be announced before the end of March, and the prizes come in the form of a $50 rebate on any NZDG sanctioned Tour event entry fee.

Newsletter naming competition – one $50 prize available

New Zealand Disc Golf wishes to brand our news with a distinctive and compelling name, and so a competition to invent one is now underway. Members may suggest up to two names for the newsletter, and in the case of duplicate names order of submission will be used.

The prize is the same as for the photo competition. Please send your proposed newsletter names to comms@nzdg.org.nz before March 15th.

We wish to extend our best wishes to all members and we encourage you to enter into both competitions. The NZDG Board.
